Baptisms:
Infants: Parents are to call the rectory approximately
four months before the anticipated birth of their child so arrangements
can be made for parents to attend Baptism catechesis meeting held once a
month. Sponsors must be practicing Catholics. If they are not registered
as members of I.O.P. Parish, they must have a letter from their own
pastor. All sponsors should have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Adults:
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults
is an ongoing process. Adults wishing to
join our Catholic Faith Community will first
become Catechumens or candidates before
being called to the Sacraments. Inquirers
into the Catholic Faith are invited to
contact a parish priest. |

Anointing of the Sick:
Anyone who is seriously ill should receive the Sacrament of the Anointing
of the Sick. Persons entering the hospital for surgery, may receive the
Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick after the 8:00am Mass on Saturday
mornings. See bulletin for details. Those confined to their homes by illness,
infirmity or age, may arrange to receive Holy Communion weekly or at least
once a month by contacting the rectory. Please notify the rectory immediately
when any member of your family enters the hospital. Sick calls are answered
promptly anytime of the day or night. *Recently
enacted right to privacy regulations have
resulted in the need for a new approach for
pastoral visitors at the hospitals. Until
now, clergy religious and other designated
by their churches were able to look at
hospital lists to determine if any
parishioners were patients. This will no
longer be possible. If any of our
parishioners are in the hospital please
notify us by calling the parish offices and
giving us the name, hospital, room number,
and if possible condition. Thank you for
your help! |
