WELCOME!!!            -  Infant of Prague Parish Picnic on Sunday August 9th at  Cheektowaga Town Park.....All are welcome to attend!  -

Mission Statement:

We, the faith community of Infant of Prague Parish, united in the Holy Spirit celebrate the presence of Christ in Word, Sacrament, and each other. We strive to build up the kingdom of God in a spirit of fellowship and service. We welcome all to journey with us as we continue to mature in our faith by our worship of God and our reaching out to our brothers and sisters in need.

GENERATIONS OF FAITH (G.O.F.):

This year, the year long theme for our Generations of Faith (G.O.F.) celebrations will be "Prayer." We invite you to "pray through the rainbow" with us: Take home a Prayer Card that will be given out on a Sunday at the start of every month. They will each be different colored cards. The Greeters will hand you one of these on your way out from church. Each card will be punched with a hole and the first card will be attached to a metal ring. You can then put all of your prayer cards on this ring, and by the end of the year you will have a complete set of 10-12 different cards.

We are looking forward to seeing you at our Fall 2009 G.O.F. Sessions which is coming soon! Please join us!

You can drop off your registration form that was in the bulletin to the Parish Center, put it in the collection basket at church, or simply call the Parish Center at 634-3660 to leave your name.

Don't Forget: "When we work, we work. When we pray, God works!"

PARISH LIBRARY:

Did you know we have VCR tapes and children's books about Mary, the Mother of God? Look for "Mary of Nazareth" or "Through Mary's Eyes," as well as books on the Scriptural Rosary, Our Lady of Fatima, Lourdes and Guadalupe.

Some new and thoughtful resources to explore: "Pope Benedict XVI" his writings and thoughts. "Jesus of Nazareth" - written by the Pope, portrays a rich flesh and blood portrait of Jesus (large print version). "He Did This Just For You" - reflections on the passion and promises of Jesus. "For the Children" - words of love from Pope John Paul II.

Scripture Reflections:

(For Week of May 31st from the Sunday Bulletin)

First Reading: Deuteronomy 4:32-34, 39-40 (165B)

Second Reading: Romans 8:14-17

Gospel: Matthew 28:16-20

  • On this 50th and final day of the Easter Season, we celebrate a wondrous and unprecedented gift of God. Through the gift of the Spirit, we share a common identity as the Body of Christ. the Spirit dwells within us as divine life, enabling us to be faithful and true disciples. May this Eucharistic celebration strengthen us to work with the Spirit in renewing the face of the earth.

  • St. Paul reminds us today that all of our gifts have their source in the Holy Spirit and that those gifts are given "for the common good." What gifts are mine to share?

Welcome Home!

You are a stranger but once. You are a child of God, redeemed by Our Savior, Jesus Christ. In God's name, we welcome you. May you find friendship, peace, and serenity in our loving and worshipping community. If you are a visitor interested in joining our parish community or the Catholic Faith, please call the parish office. If you are returning after being away....Welcome home! It is our hope that our community will help you mature in your faith and grow in your love of Jesus, and that your presence among us will enrich and strengthen the life of our community. The center of our parish’s life is our communal celebration of the Eucharist, and the life that we celebrate and share in when we gather together to worship God at Mass, finds expression in the various ministries, organizations and activities of our parish. It is our sincere hope that you will consider the ways in which you can become an active member of our faith community by using the gifts and talents God has given you to help build up God’s Kingdom here in our midst.
